Adds Defrag to Explorer’s Right Click Context Menu

Filed under: Windows Xp Fixes — admin @ 12:42 pm

The original scripts that provided this feature have been replaced by a new Visual Basic EXE file.  This VB program will add Defrag to the right click context menu for hard drives in Windows Explorer, or allow you to remove it from Explorer’s context menu.

To use: Download the ContextDefrag.zip file and save it to your hard drive (you may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double-click ContextDefrag.exe file.  The program will tell you whether Defrag is installed as a context menu item, or not.

This file will run under all versions of Windows, but requires the VB 6 runtimes, which are included in XP. The original VB Scripts for this feature can be obtained here.
